So now you have a bike and are keen to explore the surrounding areas. Check out the gainesville bike shop website ‘supercoolbikeshop.com’ and study their trail section. You can find great trails to suit each ones taste and adventure spirit. Since the shop also promotes biking and is involved with the community, they keep an update on great biking trails. The ‘Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail’ is 16 miles long and the longest paved trail.

It connects Depot Avenue with the Gainesville-Downtown Connector and hence has 22 miles of car-free trails. The ‘San Felasco Trail’ is a 4.5 mile loop. It is meant for intermediate riders and goes along the south of the beautiful Cellon Creek to the powerline. You can add to the biking experience since there are small elevation changes. The trail comes out directly to the picnic pavilions. The ‘Gainesville Creekside Trail’ varies from tight and twisty to double track dikes. It gives a great view of the wonders of natural Florida. The ‘Gainesville 8th Avenue and Loblolly Trail’ is the closest trail to the Super Cool Bike Shop and therefore their favourite. It features a variety of crazy twists and turns like deep sugar sand, creek crossings and elevated wooden bridges. Have fun exploring!
